29-06 CLASS by Nathalie Mukusheva – Backbends & Splits


Understand your body better and discover how far you’re able to bend without breaking. Nathalie will take you through some of the more challenging poses – deep backbends and, everyone’s favourite, the splits – all from the perspective of how to release and relax, letting go of the tension that is holding you back. 

Nathalie trained as a ballet dancer and in rhythmic gymnastics before starting yoga in 2000, then becoming a fulltime yoga teacher in 2010. For the last 5 years, Nathalie has practiced Iyengar yoga with Senior Teacher Alaric Newcombe. This style of yoga focuses intensely on alignment, integration, and extension of poses, and has influenced Nathalie’s own practice and teaching greatly. Nathalie focuses her teaching on empowering her students by giving them the tools to build a practice that they can sustain throughout their life. With detailed, precise anatomical cues, Nathalie helps demystify even the most complex poses.
